Our redesign project started with a brainstorm session of hard-to-use apps. Our team, made up of avid readers, quickly started discussing the Goodreads app. We all enjoy documenting the books we finish, as well as having a designated place for an ever-growing reading list. However, trying to complete such seemingly simple tasks within the existing Goodreads app proved difficult and uninspiring. Through user interviewing, prototyping, and testing, we addressed our design question:
how might we Create an elegant and fun way to log, review, and discover books, both individually and with friends?
